Our Site Development Process
Clear communications during every step of the web design process will help ensure a quality product and your complete satisfaction. Here is an outline of what you can expect when working with Concord Web Solutions.
1) Free Initial Consultation.
We will discuss your goals for the web site, ideas for content and structure, marketing opportunities, technological requirements, and needs for ongoing maintenance. The purpose of the consultation is to gather the information necessary to create a detailed proposal.
2) Written Proposal and Comprehensive Estimate.
Our proposal will include a detailed description of the web site pages, navigation system and content to be created by Concord Web Solutions, and the content and graphics to be supplied by the client. We provide a comprehensive estimate based on this project description so that the client can make accurate budget projections.
3) Signed Contract.
We stand behind our estimates with a contract that outlines the services we will provide and the terms of that service. The contract also assures the client of full ownership of the completed site. Upon acceptance of the proposal, the client will return the signed contract, along with a check for half of the total estimate.
4) Work Begins.
Upon receipt of the contract and initial payment, work will commence on the site. It is expected that at this time the client will provide content materials such as photos, text and graphics. If requested, a domain name will be registered, and hosting and e-mail accounts will be set up.
5) Site Design.
Before coding of the site begins, the client will be able to review graphic representations of the basic site design. These will include mock-ups of the home page and usually an interior page. A site map will be finalized that supports clear navigation, a good user experience, and search engine optimization.
6) Site Development.
The site will be coded, the graphics finalized, and a working site presented to the client on a testing server for review. Text will be proofed and edited for the search engines based on keyword research in consultation with the client.
7) Site Launch.
Upon receipt of the final payment, the site will be uploaded to the client's server and final testing performed. Arrangements will be made for web analytics and acquisition of preliminary links will be completed.
